Ian D. Martin
Handcrafted Bamboo Fly Rods
from the United Kingdom

Anglers Collectibles is pleased to announce our new partnership with Ian D. Martin in representing his outstanding handcrafted bamboo fly rods. Our world wide base of customers will appreciate his fine English hand craftsmanship and we are now taking orders for his fine split cane fly rods.

All Ian's rods are built on the finest English cane and finished in Ian's small workshop in the North East of England, an area rich in limestone spate rivers and small streams.

The 'signature' or 'trade mark' of these rods, are the exquisite reel seat assemblies.

Ian selects, turns and polishes the wood components himself. These are made from exotic species of timber from around the world. The most popular is the 'Burr Jarrah' a native Australian hardwood, which has fabulous hues and figuring from rich red to mellow brown in colour. The lacquer finish is a high lustre durable finish, polished to perfection to give that added touch of luxury and exclusivity.

All guide whipping is done by hand. No machinery is used to save time and possibly compromise quality.

Ian has worked hard to build a reputation for supplying only the highest quality products. He will not compromise that by rushing work just to get it out of the workshop.

In addition to the range of rods shown, Ian offers a 'bespoke service' and 'limited editions' are available for corporate gift, (minimum numbers apply).
